Titi Hayun Cascade & Puteri Mandi Fall

日莱山（Jerai-海拔3992尺）是Yan县里一座雄伟的地标，排名全马第六十八高。而Puteri Mandi瀑布就位于大山的西边，可从离Yan镇约3公里外的Titi Hayun休闲公园前往。

Puteri Mandi在马来语里的意思是公主沐浴，古老传说山中的仙女们爱在这瀑布戏水作乐，据说仙人们到现在还存在，并栖息在山林里。

Gunung Jerai (3,992 feets asl) is a majestic landscape in Yan district. It is ranked 68th in Malaysia’s highest mountain. Puteri Mandi Fall is located at the west side of the mountain and accessible from Titi Hayun Recreation Park, which is located about 3km from Yan town.

Why it is called Puteri Mandi? Old folks used to tell a tale of elves princesses using the waterfall as their playground. It is believed that the elf communities are still exist and living in certain parts of Gunung Jerai.

约过公园里的吊桥，遵循指示牌在岔口处转向右方。一路上沿河一带的小急流，都会看到许多人到此野餐，尤其在假日。

Crossed the hanging bridge to the park. Turn right at the junction as per the intruction on the signboard. You'll see alot of picnickers along the river during weekend or holiday. But at this stretch only rapids are found.

途经一座废弃的水泵屋。

Went pass a abandoned pump house.

水泵屋附近有座小瀑布，也许您可称她为Titi Hayun小瀑布。

Beside the pump house, there's a cascade nearby. You can call it Titi Hayun Cascade if you want,.

这时往前走的路已渐渐变得崎岖难走。小心碎石及湿滑的树根。

The condition of the trail become rougher after the pump house, more loose stones and roots.

途经一棵拥有巨大盘根的大树。

The giant root we met along the way.

山径来到河边看似已来到终点，其实这时需度过河对岸。好戏在后头，这时山径开始变得陡峭，一直往上攀升。有些地点路线也不很明显。

The jungle trail looks ended at the river, actually the trail is continued at the opposite of the river bank. The terrain became tougher and steep after river crossing. Sometime the trail is unclear.

上山的半途中的一个小瀑布。正好可以歇歇脚，凉快一回儿。

A small waterfall just nice as a reststop located on the half way.

终于，我们来到了目的地 - 壮观的Puteri Mandi瀑布, 也是我们今天的奖励。想不到在这座不算很高的日莱山山腰上，竟然有座如此高大的瀑布。瀑布旁都是潮湿的大石块，如果要攀爬到河边可要非常小心。

Here we are, our reward - the majestic Puteri Mandi Fall. We are never expected there are spectacular waterfall around the Mt. Jerai. Have to becarefull walking around, nearby the waterfall is full with slippery rocks.
