Bayas & Payung Waterfall

在Jan的资料帮助下，今天我们要前往Lata Bayas瀑布和Lata Payung瀑布。这是位于Bintang山脉的半山腰，最接近的入口处在Kuak的Kampung Danglang。

With Jan's help, we are going to explore Bayas Fall & Payung Fall. They are located at the hill slope of the Bintang Range, the nearest entrance is at Kampung Danglang, Kuak.

我们把车停放在这马来村民的屋旁。接着我们就要开始步行了。

Parked our car nearby to this Malay villager house and began our trekking.

首先经过的是一座胶园。第一件最令人恼人的是成群结队的蚊子，老是粘着我们，并在耳边嗡嗡作响。

The trail started at a rubber plantation. The 1st very annoying is A BIG croud of blood sucker - mosquito, followed us along the track. How nice if i have a electrical racket to swing and kill these mosquitoes...

在第一个岔口处需往直走，左边的小路则是通往河边。

Go straight at the 1st junction in the plantation, the left path is end at the river.

紧接着胶园的是一座榴莲园。这时并不是产果季节。我们还经过了一口井。

Next is a durian plantation. It was not fruiting season yet during our visiting time. Trail is walked pass a well.

当我们越往内走去，小径也变得越窄和开始上坡。我们终于来到了森林和果园的边沿，这时我们开始犹豫通往瀑布的路线，因为这个草丛看似并无去路。可是再看清楚些，小径又似有似无。其实路线没错，就是这里啦。

Once we trekked further, the trail became narrower and upslope. When we reached the edge of the jungle, the trail looks overgrown. The trail became a bit obvious after passed through the bushes.

过了草丛后，路径又开始变得明显了。小径沿着河边一直往上伸去。第二件恼人的是水蛭，这里是超多的。很快的我们来到了第一座瀑布-Lata Bayas瀑布。

The trails is lying along the river, sometime we had to find our way to go upslope at the tricky area. Here comes the 2nd very annoying parts - real blood sucker, leeches! It is unusually many here! Soon, we were reaching the 1st fall, Bayas Fall.

Lata Bayas瀑布可分成数段。这是下半段。

This is the lower part of Bayas Fall.

再沿着河边那若有若无的小径继续往上攀爬。由于安全因素，我们只能从旁观看Lata Bayas瀑布的上半部。

We followed the vague trail and scrambled to upslope. Because of safety issue, we only can viewed the upper part of Lata Bayas from far.

半路上看到了一棵巨大的大树。

A giant tree.

经过一番努力往上爬和寻找路线，终于来到了Lata Payung瀑布。这个瀑布比Lata Bayas瀑布来得宽，我的广角镜头也无法以一个镜头把整个瀑布给摄下。这是Lata Payung瀑布的左方。

After some struggling against the leeches, scrambling and searching for trail, we reached Payung Fall finally. Compare to the Bayas Fall, Payung Fall looks wider. My wideangle lens unable to snap the whole Payung Fall in 1 shot. This is the left part of the Payung Fall.

从Lata Payung瀑布往山脚看到的风景。那因该是Raban湖吧。

The scenery from Payung Fall, this should be the Raban Lake.

经过一天的‘苦行’，终于可以好好的享受瀑布的冷水浴。而河的上方还有个Lata Batu Bertangkup瀑布。

After a day of hard trek, time for enjoy dipping inside the waterfall. There is another waterfall at the upper stream, Batu Bertangkup Fall.
